Educational Opportunities

Another mandate of CC-AAG is to provide educational and financial assistance to those studying gerontology.

CC-AAG Scholarship Award

The Calgary Chapter Association on Gerontology has established a scholarship of $500 that is available annually between the years 2005-2007. It will be awarded to a student in the Gerontology Program, Mount Royal College.

The recipient will also receive their first years membership in CC-AAG at no cost. 

A student applying for the CC-AAG Scholarship Award must meet the following criteria:

  • Lives in the Calgary area
  • Promotes the interests of gerontology by demonstrating efforts to enhance the lives of the aging population.
  • Has completed 3 courses
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Cannot be the recipient of another scholarship that year

Deadline for submission of applications for the Scholarship is March 3, 2006.
